THE PRINCIPALS
Mary Jane Aguilar, BA, MA

Mary Jane has been an Ethics/Character consultant to community groups, non-profit organizations, businesses, government and educational systems since 1994. She was a member of the teaching faculty of the Josephson Institute of Ethics for twelve years where she co-facilitated 3-day training sessions in many different states. Through her own consulting firm she also served as a consultant to other communities and organizations interested in developing and implementing their own programs. She has extensive experience as a presenter. She has addressed national conventions, regional conferences, state conferences and school systems as well as numerous city leadership groups. She has worked with many forms of media promoting these projects and was interviewed for segments on both ABC and NBC Evening News and the newspaper, USA Today. She has worked at the community level with local TV stations, radio broadcasters and newspapers. Mary Jane is a former Executive Director of an Albuquerque Ethics/Character Community Project and lead on the team that developed and implemented an original model in Character Education that has been replicated across the United States. As Executive Director she participated in the development of content material for organizations. They range in scope from the 58th Special Operations Wing Command at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM to the business pilot project supported by the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. She was part of the team that designed and delivered a project for the New Mexico Department of Labor entitled "Character and Ethics in the Workplace." During her prior career in education, Mary Jane worked for the large urban Albuquerque Public School System where she was a member of their Internal Consultants Group. During this time she also consulted with the City of Albuquerque and divisions within the Department of Energy located on Sandia National Laboratories. She also worked for a statewide educational network headquartered in Taos, New Mexico which served school districts across New Mexico. The focus of this work was analyzing communication systems, building functioning teams and enhancing leadership skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico.
DOMINIC J. BERNARDI, BS, CPP

Dom has been involved in change-making and internal and external communications most of
his career. He has held senior marketing and sales management positions at financial
institutions in El Paso, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dom is a Certified Program
Planner in content development and adult learning program management and holds a BS
degree in Mass Communications from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. His consulting
experience in communications, marketing and public relations include work with the City
and County of El Paso, Texas as well as the State of Texas and the New Mexico Symphony
Orchestra. Dom also served as a senior Public Affairs Officer in the U. S Army and
as Continuity Director for WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a program developer
and manager of specialized educational programs at the Management Development Center,
Anderson Schools of Management, University of New Mexico. While there Dom taught an
undergraduate course in bank management. He was selected to co-present a sales
management symposium at the University of Colorado-Boulder under the sponsorship
of the American Bankers Marketing Association. Dom has facilitated numerous
activities as the Board Chair, State of Texas Tourist Development Agency; Member,
State of Texas Governor's Economic Advisory Board; Board Chair, Southwestern
International Livestock Show and Rodeo Association; Chair, Board of Trustees
and later consultant, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra; Board Chair and later
President-Executive Director, Western States School of Banking; President,
Omar N. Bradley Chapter, Association of the United States Army; President,
New Mexico Chapter, Military Order of the World Wars; and President, El Paso
Chapter, National Conference of Christians and Jews. He has completed post-graduate
work at the University of Texas-El Paso and is a graduate of the Graduate School of
Bank Marketing, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
EDWARD T. O'LEARY, BS, MBA

Ed has been CEO of a large community bank and has held senior officer positions
at both large and small banking companies. Through his working experiences he
has developed a practical knowledge of ethical behavioral issues from perspectives
as an executive level manager and a commercial lender. As an executive manager, he
dealt with behaviors of nearly a thousand employees and as a commercial lender was
necessarily concerned with the character of his borrowers. Ed is the retired president
and CEO of First Security Bank of New Mexico. Prior to moving to New Mexico in 1991,
he was a commercial lender and problem loan workout manager at banks in Oklahoma City,
Midland, Orlando and Miami and began his banking career with The Bank of New York.
As a community leader and volunteer, he has served on a variety of boards of directors
of civic, charitable and religious organizations. He has extensive experience as
chairman of several boards and as facilitator of various projects including service
to the Albuquerque Character Counts Leadership Council, Catholic Charities of the
Archdiocese of Santa Fe, the Catholic Foundation, United Way, Greater Albuquerque
Chamber of Commerce and Accion New Mexico. In 2002 and 2003, he consulted for and
co-developed program content as a member of a three-person team that developed the
Character and Ethics in the Workplace project for the New Mexico Department of Labor.
He has been a teacher of banking related subjects at several regional and national
banking schools and on-line courses for bankers and community bank directors for the
American Bankers Association. He is a frequent presenter and forum and webinar
participant on banking industry topics. Ed currently works as a consultant to banks
and as an expert witness in support of litigation. He holds a BS degree from
Boston College and an MBA degree from Columbia University.
